Edson Pereira is in the business of using spaces, forms, volumes and materials to create an experience. The goal being to realize these creations and seeing if the intention was captured.

Mr. Pereira was born in Brooklyn, New York and was raised in South Miami, Florida. He is son of Tomas Arturo Pereira Sierra (Abancay, Peru) and Antonieta Neomi Pereira Vasquez Tordoya (Lima, Peru). He received his professional degree in architecture from the University of Kansas in 1996.

He has over 10 years of architectural experience and has worked on various building types: Business, Factory and Industrial, High Hazard, Mercantile, Residential and Storage. He has taken projects through stages of Design Development and Construction Documents. This involved conducting Building Code and Life Safety Code Reviews also including cost estimates, specifications and bidding negotiations. He's managed large to small teams of technicians. And has the ability to shift gears and work on various projects at a time, maintaining the project on course and within budget.

 

His values are respect, creativity, positivity, integrity, generousity, tenacity and humor.

 

Mr. Pereira is interested in developing his design skills. He likes modern design and would like to experience designing modern residences, libraries, hospitals, airports and museums. He seeks to team-up and develop relationships with individuals and organizations that align with his values.

His life long goal is to teach college studio and Jr. High School students about spacial and formal manipulation.

 

Mr. Pereira lives in Miami, FL.
